Following the opening of its first ReBIRD Service Center in New York, Arc’teryx is now expanding its in-store ReBIRD program to Canada for the first time, providing on-site product assessment, care, training and repairs in its new location at Toronto Eaton Centre. ReBIRD is Arc’teryx’s eco-responsible initiative dedicated to moving away from a salvage economy to a more circular ecosystem as the outdoor label seeks to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 65% d 2030.
Specific services offered in the new Toronto space include GORE-TEX leak testing, product training, ancillary hardware repair (zipper, pull cords, cord locks, buckle, patch) and replacement of the tissue. “Since opening in fall 2021, our NY Service team has been able to resolve nearly 3/4 of functionally compromised equipment on-site, reducing the impact on turnaround times for our customers,” says Dominique. Showers, vice-president of ReBIRD, Arc’ teryx. “That’s our goal: to provide clear technical product maintenance training, comprehensive assessments and light repairs that keep equipment in the field longer.”
The Arc’teryx Toronto Eaton Center store is now open and two more Canadian retail store openings are planned for later this year at Square One Shopping Center and Vaughan Mills Premier Outlet Mall.
