Umrah pilgrims offered high-speed train service between Mecca and Medina

RIYADH: The Kingdom’s General Entertainment Authority on Sunday launched a schedule for the Saudi National Day celebrations that will last for nine days, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

The events will take place from September 18-26 and will include air, water and military shows, fireworks, music concerts, festivals and Cirque du Soleil shows.

The Royal Saudi Air Force will hold air shows for ten days with F-15, Tornado, Typhoon and F-15C aircraft in 14 cities.

The Royal Saudi Navy will take part in a national parade that will include military vehicles and motorcycles, and hold a water show. Cavalry and aviation shows with helicopters will also take place.

The Home Office Military Band will perform live musical performances and there will be entertainment suites for all ages.

Classic car and horse parades organized by the Royal Guard will take place in Riyadh and Jeddah.

Cirque du Soleil will also perform shows at Princess Nourah Bint Abdul Rahman University in Riyadh for four days between September 21 and 24.

13 regions of the Kingdom will host festivals celebrating the Kingdom’s history and national heritage in public parks, and people will be able to watch fireworks in 18 cities in different regions.
